Restarting Speedpaints

I'm restarting a speed painting project that I've done before. It's a little bit of extra practice that I find really helps. 30 minutes on a given topic, posted when the timer goes off, regardless of completion. I try and do one every day.

Fallen tree - I was trying a limited value palette on this one. 

One rainy night - (I grew up in a very rainy town and I find it very peaceful)

Jolly Roger. Which one do you prefer? I was to continue working on one of these two versions but I can't decide which one is better.
